REED, Barbara Jean

The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Wednesday, June 23, 2010 Barbara Jean Reed (née Bohart), age 68, passed away June 19, 2010, after a hard-fought battle with cancer. She was a resident of Dewey, Ariz. She was the eldest child of the late John and Laura Bohart. She is the beloved wife of Bill Reed, mother of Traci (David) Spears, Tina (Tim) Young, Shawn (Jenny) Beckman and the late Jay Beckman; stepmother of Mike (Sherri) Reed, Melissa (Bucky) Wolfe and Mark (Lisa) Reed; sister of Larry (Linda) Bohart and Penny (Brad) Warne; grandmother of 14; and great-grandmother of seven. She is survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and countless other friends and family who were blessed to know her. Barb was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio. She was a beautician in Cincinnati before moving to California with her husband Bill. Barb loved traveling by RV, golfing, dancing with the Casa Belles, playing the banjo and just having fun and enjoying life with friends and family. A Celebration of Life service will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, July 10, 2010, at the Center for Spiritual Living, 3755 Willow Creek Road, Prescott, Ariz. A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 17, 2010, in Cincinnati, Ohio.
