Maxine T. Walker 5/5/1914 - 6/17/2010 Born May 5, 1914 and passed away June 17, 2010 at the Casa de la Luz Hospice in Tucson.
Maxine is survived by her son, Ronald H. Walker (Anne); daughters, Beverly Jeanne Chase (John) and Anita Kaye Ingerson (Mike); seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. A longtime resident of Oro Valley, she was born in Oklahoma and moved to Texas.
She met and married W. Hugh Walker, a graduate of Texas A & M. In 1952 the family moved to Hyderabad, India where Mr. Walker was with the Point Four Program. In 1957 the family moved to Baghdad, Iraq where he was the Representative for the Ford Foundation in the Middle East. After Iraq, they moved to Beirut, Lebanon until retirement to Oro Valley in 1972 and became loyal members of the Oro Valley Country Club. Maxine was a Stalwart member until her death. Mr. Walker passed away in 1984. Maxine continued to play golf into her 80's and was a master bridge player - she had started playing bridge at the age of ten with her mother and grandmother. Her best moments and memories were telling her children about her bridge "grandslams".
Maxine graciously donated her body to The Will Body Program at The University of Arizona. There will be no services.
