ATTERHOLT, William E. (Bill)


The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ May 8, 1991, p. 2 Private memorial services will be conducted at a later date for William E. “Bill” Atterholt, 71, of Wickenburg who died April 30 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Phoenix. Mr. Atterholt was born February 12, 1920 in Ohio. He had lived in Arizona for the past 26 years. He was retired from the National Park Service, with which he had served for 26 years in parks in Texas, New Mexico, Arizona and other states. Mr. Atterholt was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, serving in the North African and Italian theaters of operation. He worked as circulation driver of The Wickenburg Sun. He recently left the position due to ill health. He is survived by his wife, Marjorie, of Wickenburg; two daughters, Janet of Santa Ana, California and Judy of Menlo Park, California; two sons, Joe of Santa Ana and John of Prescott; a sister, Lois Bowers of Ohio; and four grandchildren.
