DEUTSCH, Aelred P.


The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ June 19, 1991, P. 2 Aelred P. Deutsch, 90, of Peoria died June 8 in Scottsdale Memorial Hospital in Scottsdale. Mr. Deutsch was born June 18, 1900 in Nebraska City, Nebraska. He was a former Wickenburg resident, living in the community since 1971 before recently moving to Peoria. He was a graduate of the University of Nebraska and attended one year at the school’s College of Law. He played football as a freshman at the University of Nebraska, participated in boxing and was an avid golfer. He also crafted iron wood sculptures and was a amateur gemologist. Mr. Deutsch worked as a claims adjuster for the Travelers Insurance Co. for many years and resided in Cleveland, Ohio; Hartford, Connecticut; San Francisco and Los Angeles. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. In 1950 he married Corrinne Guilliard and the couple resided in the Los Angeles area. After Mrs. Deutsch retired from the Union Pacific Railroad and Mr. Deutsch from teaching speech classes, the couple retired to Wickenburg. Survivors include his wife, Corrinne; her brother, Frank Guilliard of Florida; and a nephew, Dan Guilliard of California. Scripture services were Tuesday, June 11 at Menke Funeral Home in Sun City. Burial was in the family cemetery plot in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Nebraska City.
