Lena Hetty DeHart, 86, of Wickenburg died July 13 in Wickenburg Community Hospital.
Mrs. DeHart was born October 28, 1904 in Keosaugua, Iowa. She had lived in Arizona for almost 40 years, moving to Wickenburg in August 1952.
She worked at the MacLennan School cafeteria from 1954 until she retired in 1966. Mrs. DeHart was instrumental in establishing the Wise Owl Senior Center in Wickenburg and donated an estimated 13,000 hours of volunteer time there.
She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church of Wickenburg.
Survivors include three sons, Ronald of Glendale and Douglas and LeRoy both of Fairfield, Iowa; three daughters, Dorothy Keller and Louann Turner of Fairfield and Carol Edmonston of Des Moines, Iowa; a sister, Lottie Mae Bowen of Marshalltown, Iowa; a brother, John Kreiss of Mount Pleasant, Iowa; 20 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, July 18 at the Wickenburg Funeral Home. Dr. Bert Follmar of Calvary Baptist Church will officiate.
