Bernard “Barnie” Barrick, Sr. 81, of Wickenburg , died August 5 in the Wickenburg Nursing Home.
Mr. Barrick was born September 4, 1909 in Newark, Ohio. He had lived in Arizona for the past 38 years.
He was a high priest in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Wickenburg Ward.
He was retired from Greyhound Bus Co., where he worked 33 years as a bus driver.

Bernard Wesley “Barnie” Barrick, 81, of Wickenburg ,died August 5 in the Wickenburg Nursing Home.
Mr. Barrick was a high priest in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Wickenburg Ward.
He was born September 4, 1909 in Newark, Ohio, coming to Arizona in 1952.
Mr. Barrick lived for more than 36 years in his home on Kerkes Street where he and his wife Ella owned and managed the Arrowhead Trailer Court.
He was also retired from the Greyhound Bus Co., where he was a long distance driver for 33 years.
Survivors include his wife, Ella; three sons, Bernard Barrick, Jr. of Payson, John Michael Barrick of Oakland, California, and David Lee Barrick of Phoenix; two stepsons, Clayton Weimer of Huntington Beach, California and Oliver Weimer of San Jose, California; a brother, Robert Paul Barrick of Columbus, Ohio; a sister, Martha Mae Furniss of Worthington, Ohio; 12 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
His sons, John, David and Bernard, Jr. served as pallbearers at this funeral, which was August 9 at the LDS church in Wickenburg. Bishop Kevin Shumway officiated.
Following interment at the Wickenburg Cemetery, a luncheon was served for family and friends by the Wickenburg Ward Relief Society.
Survivors include his wife, Ella; three sons, Bernard Barrick, Jr. of Payson, John Michael Barrick of Oakland, California, and David Lee Barrick of Phoenix; two stepsons, Clayton Weimer of Huntington Beach, California and Oliver Weimer of San Jose, California; a brother, Robert Paul Barrick of Columbus, Ohio; a sister, Martha Mae Furniss of Worthington, Ohio; 12 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, August 9 at the LDS Church in Wickenburg. Burial will follow in the Wickenburg Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Parkinson’s Disease Foundation.
