The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ August, 14, 1991, p. 2 Dexter W. Mathis, 33, of Salome died August 2 in Phoenix. Mr. Mathis was born May 11, 1958 in Pompano Beach, Florida. He had lived in Arizona most of his life, moving to the state in 1963. Her family and friends described him a very lovable person, who will be missed. Survivors include, two sons, Dexter Mathis, Jr. and Milo Mathis, both of Aguila; a daughter, Marlene Mathis of Aguila; his mother and step-father, Tommy and Jerelene Conner of Aguila; a brother, Robert Mathis of Salome; sister-in-law Alexis Mathis of Salome; nephew, Robert Mathis, Jr. and nieces Lisa, Talithe and Rose, all of Salome; several aunts and uncles; and numerous cousins. Graveside services were Tuesday, August 13 at the Aguila Cemetery. Pastor Delbert Henderson of the First Southern Baptist Church of Wickenburg officiated.
