DEHOSE, Carol

The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ 07/09/2010 Carol (Bendle) DeHose, 50, of Cibecue died Monday, July 5, 2010, at St. Joseph Hospital in Phoenix. She was born Dec. 15, 1959 in San Carlos to the late Donald and Priscilla (Salter) Bendle. Carol married Martin DeHose in 1998, after being together since 1992. They were high school sweethearts. She was employed at Hon-Dah Resort and Casino in housekeeping for seven years. Carol had a sweet, quiet way about her, she was a very friendly, kind-hearted wife, mother, sister and friend. She will be deeply missed and never forgotten. Carol enjoyed spending time with her best friend-daughter Merlena and enjoying her grandkids. She also enjoyed being in the wilderness where it's quiet and would just lay looking up into the skies. Carol also enjoyed traveling with her husband, Martin, to scenic places. She liked watching love stories, Hallmark Channel, Lifetime and LMN movies. She is survived by her husband; daughter Merlena Johnson; sons Merle Johnson, Levi Evan DeHose, Marcus DeHose and Lonnie Endfield Jr.; grandchildren Brian DeHose, Eli DeHose, Samuel DeHose and Halemano DeHose; sisters Doris Gilbert, Linnie Bendle, Beverly Bendle, Sherry Bendle; brother Darrell Bendle; mother-in-law Gussie DeHose; father-in-law Levi DeHose; god-daughter Precious Castro-Phillips. She was preceded in death by her parents Donald and Priscilla (Salter) Bendle and brothers Harvey Bendle, Carson Bendle Sr. and Terry Bendle. Carol's body will be brought back to her residence at 108 N. Another World Rd in Cibecue, for a two-night awake Friday, July 9, at 10 a.m. Funeral services will be held Sunday, July 11, at 8:30 a.m.at the Cottonwood Gym in Cibecue with Pastor Gary Lupe officiating. Interment will be at the Mormon Hill Cemetery in San Carlos. Silver Creek Chapel Mortuary of Whiteriver handled arrangements.
