MARTIN, Lucille (Granny)

The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ 10/24/2006 Lucille "Granny" Martin, 90 of Holbrook, peacefully died at home Oct. 19, 2006. Born in Bremen, Ky., she grew up in Michigan. Following school, she assisted in the home with her younger siblings. On March 31, 1937, she married Louis William Martin in Detroit, Mich. They made their home in Phoenix and Lucille was a homemaker. Her husband preceded her in death Nov. 26, 1983. Following Louis' passing, she moved to Holbrook to be closer to her daughter. Lucille is survived by her son, Louis W. Martin, Jr. of Phoenix and her daughter, Lynda M. Erkkila of Holbrook, eight grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. Internment will take place at Greenwood Memory Lawn in Phoenix. Owens Mortuary of Holbrook handled the arrangements.
