The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ 10/27/2006 Valdine Riggs, 73, of Chandler died peacefully Oct. 15, 2006. She was born Feb. 13, 1933 in Chandler to Shirley and Lorana Winsor. Valdine is survived by her two children, Richard Dawson, Jr. (Susan) and Kristie Stone; seven beautiful grandchildren, Justin, Andy, Colleen, Emilee, Amber, Buddy and Lindsay; sisters, Joyce Reeves, June Pace (JV), Ann Moots, and Marla Sherwood (D'Wayne); and 15 nieces and nephews. A visitation was held Oct. 18 at Bueler Mortuary in Chandler with funeral services held Oct. 19 at The Chandler West Stake Center, 1950 W. Galveston St. in Chandler. The family suggests contributions made in Valdine's name to Hospice of the Valley, 1510 E. Flower St., Phoenix, AZ 85014.
