Thomas “Tom” Roy Hutchings, 63, passed away Thursday, Nov. 20, 2008, in Lake Havasu City. He was born Nov. 5, 1944, in Evanston, Ill.; to Roy E. and Shirley E. (Rogers) Hutchings.
Tom moved to Lake Havasu City 17 years ago from Gurnee, Ill. He worked as a police officer for the Waukegan Illinois Police Department in Waukegan, Ill., for 23 years. Tom proudly served his country in the U.S. Army and also served in the reserves for 8 years. He enjoyed his family, his dogs, Marvin, Bella and Tiny and also enjoyed riding motorcycles and camping.
Tom is survived by his loving wife, Pamela Hutchings; son, Eric (Carolyn) Hutchings, of Lisle, Ill.; daughter, Jessica (Mike) Monasmith, of Lake Havasu City; mother, Shirley Hutchings; sister, Carol (Don) Botimer, of Lake Havasu City; and grandchildren, Madisyn and Tommy Petrauska.
A memorial service will be held at Lietz-Fraze Chapel Tuesday at 6 p.m. Words of wisdom and inspiration will be expressed by Pastor Mike Brown.
Military honors will be presented by the V.F.W. Post 9401 and American Legion Post 81.
