Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, Arizona Published Wednesday, December 3, 2008 Thomas “Tom” Roy Hutchings, 63, passed away Thursday, Nov. 20, 2008, in Lake Havasu City. He was born Nov. 5, 1944, in Evanston, Ill.; to Roy E. and Shirley E. (Rogers) Hutchings. Tom moved to Lake Havasu City 17 years ago from Gurnee, Ill. He worked as a police officer for the Waukegan Illinois Police Department in Waukegan, Ill., for 23 years. Tom proudly served his country in the U.S. Army and also served in the reserves for 8 years. He enjoyed his family, his dogs, Marvin, Bella and Tiny and also enjoyed riding motorcycles and camping. Tom is survived by his loving wife, Pamela Hutchings; son, Eric (Carolyn) Hutchings, of Lisle, Ill.; daughter, Jessica (Mike) Monasmith, of Lake Havasu City; mother, Shirley Hutchings; sister, Carol (Don) Botimer, of Lake Havasu City; and grandchildren, Madisyn and Tommy Petrauska. A memorial service will be held at Lietz-Fraze Chapel Tuesday at 6 p.m. Words of wisdom and inspiration will be expressed by Pastor Mike Brown. Military honors will be presented by the V.F.W.
