GUTIERREZ, Vera E.

Vera E. Gutierrez 83, of Tucson, Arizona, passed away May 21, 2010. She was preceded in death by her sister, Armida Benitis. Vera is survived by her loving husband and life-long soul mate of 67 years, Nemesio T. Gutierrez; two daughters, Laura (Jim Robinson) and Diane Gutierrez; four grandsons, Edmund (Maria) Robinson, Nicholas Robinson, Fernie Gutierrez and Antonio (Tony) Gutierrez; three great-grandchildren, James, Christopher and Sedona Robinson. Vera was the owner of Casa Chimichanga for 25 years. She also owned Vera's Cake Decorating Supplies. She was a woman of many talents and abilities; her creativity and cooking were fantastic. Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 25, 2010 at Sacred Heart Parish, 601 E. Ft. Lowell Rd. Burial will follow at Holy Hope Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Casa de la Luz Hospice Foundation, 400 W. Magee Rd., Tucson, AZ 85704. Arrangements entrusted to DESERT SUNSET FUNERAL HOME (297-9007).
