HALL, William


From the Arizona Daily Star (September 22, 2009): William Hall went peacefully to be with the Lord on September 18, 2009 after a long, courageous life. Born on January 16, 1915 in San Xavier, AZ. He is preceded in death by his wife, Maria Jesus Leon; niece, Maryann Hall and nephew, Manny Bracamonte. Survived by nieces, Irma Duncan and Diana Christiansen; nephews, Edward Bracamonte, Sammy Ray Hall, Mark William Hall and Gene Martinez. Corporal William Hall proudly served his country in the United States Army during World War II. While fighting with the 91st infantry division on the fifth Army Front in Italy, he was awarded the Bronze Star for heroic achievement under fire. He led a life to be admired and continued to serve his Community and Church, he served as the St. Vincent De Paul President for many years. He was a loving uncle to many who loved and adored him. Viewing will be Tuesday, September 22, 2009 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. Rosary at FUNERARIA DEL ANGEL, 7 E. University Blvd. Mass will be held at St. Monica's Church on Wednesday, September 23, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. Burial to follow at Holy Hope Cemetery.
