BALL, Maura Irene

The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ 0/27/2006 Maura Irene Ball Maura Ball, 73 of St. Johns, died Oct. 20, 2006. Maura was born and raised in Saginaw, Mich. She attended the University of Michigan and received her teaching degree. Following school she met and later married Chancy Ball in June of 1956. They made their home in Hemlock, Michigan, where Maura was a High School teacher. After the birth of her first child, Maura stayed home to be a full time mother. Maura and Chancy moved their family to Yuma in 1960 and moved around all over the state due to Chancy's construction career. They finally settled in St. Johns in 1986. Maura loved to travel and fish. Maura is survived by her daughter, Maura I. Flores of St. Johns; and four grandchildren. Chancy preceded her in death in 1993 and also their son, Mark David in 1986. Private services will be held at a later time. Owens Mortuary of Show Low handled the arrangements.
