DEGRAFF, Jerry Layne

The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ 10/31/2006 Jerry Layne DeGraff, 59, died Oct. 24, 2006 in St. Johns. He was born Aug 13, 1947 in Globe, to George Compton and Ruby Fay Lucas. Jerry was a shift supervisor for Salt River Project. He also served in the United States Air Force. He will be missed by his constant companion, Augie, his chocolate lab. Jerry is survived by his wife, Janis DeGraff, St. Johns; sons Jason Layne DeGraff, Phoenix; and Joshua Ryan DeGraff, Buckeye; brothers, Terry DeGraff, Mike DeGraff and George DeGraff. He is also survived by five grandchildren. Preceding him in death were his parents George Compton and Ruby Fay Lucas. A memorial service will be held Monday, Oct. 30 at 11 a.m. at the First Baptist Church, St. Johns. Burnham Mortuary handled arrangements.
