Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, Arizona Published Wednesday, December 3, 2008 Ann P. Butcher, of Lake Havasu City, passed away Nov. 22, 2008. She was born Sept. 21, 1924, in Keyser, W.V., to Ollie and James Pennington. Ann was an executive secretary for the Vice President of Northrup Corp. for over 30 years before her retirement in 1981. She loved to travel, play golf, and visit with her family and friends. Ann and Robert enjoyed their many trips to Branson, Mo., and played at over 75 different golf courses in their travels. In her later years, she loved going to Laughlin to gamble and see her favorite entertainers. She loved being a wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and she will be greatly missed by everyone. She is preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, and a sister. She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years who dedicated his life to taking wonderful care of her; her son, Thomas (Vicki) Butcher; daughter, Barbara (Tom) Cross, all of Lake Havasu City; her grandson, Tom (Shanel) Butcher, of Costa Mesa, Calif.; her great-granddaughter.,Ella Butcher; step-grandson, Matt Cross, of Fair Oaks, Calif.; two granddaughters and two great-grandchildren; her sister, Norma Alt, of Keyser, W.V.; sister-in-law, Vi Pennington, of Keyser, W.V.; niece, Karen Parks, of Cumberland, Miss.; and her favorite dog, Kassie. Graveside services were held at Lake Havasu Memorial Gardens Tuesday at 1 p.m. Donations can be made in her name to Hospice of Havasu.
