Ruth Ford Peterson, 87, passed away Nov. 25, 2008, in Lake Havasu City. She was born April 23, 1921, in South Hadley, Mass., to Edward and Ruth (Munn) Ford.
Ruth was a cryptographer for the U. S. Government before moving to Lake Havasu City 30 years ago from Silver Spring, Md. She is member of the Elkettes, Golf-Happy Niners, Phoenix Society, N.S.A. Retiree Group and enjoyed playing bridge. She has traveled to 60 countries and enjoyed cruising with her husband Herrick.
Ruth is survived by her loving husband, Herrick R. Peterson, of Lake Havasu City; son, Robert Peterson, of Astoria, Ore.; brother, Edward Ford, of Silver Springs, Md.; and two grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held on Friday at 2 p.m., at the Lietz-Fraze Chapel with Rev. Richard Rounds officiating. Inurnment will be at Lake Havasu Memorial Gardens.
