MAYER, Laura Marie


The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ 11/03/2006 Laura Marie Mayer, 21, died Oct. 26, 2006 after suffering an adverse reaction to a medication, which resulted in a liver transplant Sept. 10. She died of complications. She was born June 15, 1985 in Show Low and raised in Pinedale. Laura was the salutatorian for the class of 2003 at Show Low High School. Laura was a senior at ASU studying Finance and Accounting, she was the vice president of ASU's Financial Managers Association. Her ambitions and pastimes varied enough to fulfill anybody's dreams and desires. She loved to travel and completed a semester abroad in England. Laura was the life of any party, the straight-A student, the caring sister and daughter, the friend of all friends. As described by herself, Laura is a little bit of everything. She was single, independent, with a cutting humor and endless kindness. She loved the outdoors, she loved a night out, she loved any music, and any art. Most of all, Laura loved her family and friends. Laura would do anything for anyone and she will be missed by everyone. She is survived by parents, Robert and Patricia Mayer; sister, Jessica; and brother, Dirk. The family would like to acknowledge the medical staff at Banner Good Sam, and the White Mountain community for all their prayers and support. In lieu of flowers kindly consider donating to a blood drive and supporting organ donation. A memorial service will be held Saturday, Nov. 4th at Torreon Country Club in Show Low.
