JANKE, Lawrence (Larry) Arnold

The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ 11/07/2006 Lawrence "Larry" Arnold Janke, 69, died, at his daughter's home in Concho, Oct. 31, 2006. He was born Sep. 22, 1937 in Frazee, Minn. to Fred and Agnes Janke. Larry loved to fish, work in his shop and play pinochle. He loved antique cars, Peterbilts, airplanes and loved spending time doing things with his two children. Larry was a truck driver, retiring two years ago and served in the Armed Forces for 10 years. He is survived by his wife, Fran Janke, Concho; son, Allen H. Janke, Show Low; daughter, Michelle (Ira) Trevillyan, Concho; brother, Walt (Gloria) Janke, Omaha, Nebraska; sisters, Sarah (Melvin) Gatchell, Show Low; Marie Bostrom, Duluth, Minn.; Alice (Dave) Murray, Arvada, Colorado; and six grandchildren; Nikelle (15), Ashlee (13), Trevar (13), Clinton (9), Lawran (9) and Colton (8). Preceding him in death were his parents, Fred and Agnes Janke; and one sister, Doris Hagen. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Burnham Mortuary, St. Johns, handled arrangements.
