MCGEE, Norman Lewis


The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ 11/10/2006 Norman Lewis McGee, 75, died Nov. 6, 2006 at his home in Taylor. He was born in Tucson to Napolean "Empy" and Mildred "Mamie" McGee. He was raised on the McGee Ranch in Sahuarita and he also raised his family there. He was a carpenter throughout his life but he later started working in construction and worked in several places in Arizona and California. He moved to Taylor in 2001 from Tucson. He and his wife recently returned from a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Peoria Illinois Mission. The last few months he enjoyed having his family around. Norman is survived by his wife, Donna of Taylor; six daughters, Lorie Jean (David) Haymore and Kellie Ann Busby both of Taylor, Jacquelyn (Jeffrey) Kilpatrick of Monterey, Calif., Carrie Jo Liddell of Prescott Valley, Tracy Lane Osborn of Taylor, and Toni Kay (Peter Scott) Bell of Panama City, Fla.; three sons, Randy Eugene (Merlyn) and Rance Wade (Kathy) both of Taylor and Jared Lee (Amanda) of Tucson; one brother Jerry (Doris Jane) of Sahuarita; three sisters, Joann (Gale) Bell, Margaret (Bob) Elam and Diann (John) Trowbridge all of Sahuarita; 29 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren with one on the way. He was preceded in death by two sons, Patrick Kim and Dana Royce. Funeral services were held Wednesday, Nov 8 at l0 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Taylor Stake Center. Interment will follow in the Reed Hatch Memorial Cemetery in Taylor. Owens Mortuary of Snowflake handled arrangements.
