Michael A. Burson passed away Oct. 29. He was born Dec. 31, 1946, in Los Angeles, Calif., to Genevieve Galvin and Louis Burson.
Mike served under the direction of the United States Marine Corps and completed two tours of duty in Vietnam. In 1981 Mike and Jo, his wife, moved from Azusa, Calif., to their home in Lake Havasu City. Mike worked for Lake Havasu City in the street maintenance division for over 22 years.
He was a member of the London Bridge Amateur Radio Association, KB7YKY, Marine Corps League and Marine Corps Color Guard. He was a lifetime member of VFW Post 9401 and a member of Eagles Aerie 4299. Mike was a caring and giving man, always there to help someone in need. He will be remembered with love and missed by the many friends he had touched throughout the years.
Mike is survived by his wife, Jo; two brothers, Kerry L. Burson and Pat F. Burson; two nieces and two nephews. He is preceded in death by his father, mother, and sister, Jeanne Bradshaw.
There will be a celebration of life service on Saturday at 11 a.m., at the Eagles Aerie 4299. In lieu of flowers, contributions to Hospice of Havasu would be appreciated.
