MARVIN, Marshall Mattner


Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, Arizona Published Thursday, October 30, 2008 Marshall Mattner Marvin, 76, passed away Oct. 21, 2008, at Kingman Regional Medical Center in Kingman. He was born July 18, 1932, in Los Alamitos, Calif., to Charles M. and Isabelle (Barrington) Marvin. Marshall moved to Lake Havasu City 14 years ago from California and proudly served his country in the U. S. Army. Marshall enjoyed fishing and trips to Laughlin. He was a member of the American Legion, 55 year member of the Elks and a lifetime member of the V.F.W. Marshall is survived by his loving significant other of 28 years, Frances Butorac, of Lake Havasu City; daughter, Nancy Lopez, of Washington; grandchildren, Dana and Brent; and his dogs, Baron Von Fletcher and Lady Kasha. He was preceded in death by his son, Michael Marvin; and he was the youngest of 6 children who preceded him in death, Rydell, Millard, Willard, Flower and Charolette. Visitation will be held at Lietz-Fraze Chapel Monday from 9:30-10 a.m. Funeral services will follow at 10 a.m. Words of wisdom and inspiration will be said by Pastor Douglas Bock. Military honors will be presented by the V.F.W. Post 9401 and American Legion Post 81. Burial will follow at Lake Havasu Memorial Gardens. Donations can be made in Marshall’s name to the Western Arizona Humane Society, 1100 Empire Dr., Lake Havasu City, AZ; 86404.
