BAYMOR, Clara Caroline Lore

BAYMOR, Clara Caroline Lore Barth, 84, of Green Valley, AZ passed away July 11, 2010 at La Posada Retirement Community. She was the loving wife of John Baymor and the devoted mother of Karl, Curt and Jeff Baymor. Born November 2, 1925 in Weilburg, Germany, she was the daughter of the late Frieda and Karl Barth. She immigrated to the US in 1928 and grew up in Irvington, NJ where her father became a successful chocolatier. She met John Baymor in 1946 at Echo Lake Farms in the Poconos and married in 1948. They moved to Green Valley, AZ in 2005 to be closer to family. She graduated from East Stroudsburg State College summa cum laude, and received her MA from Middlebury College. Lore taught German at Stroudsburg High School for 23 years. Lore enjoyed travel, reading and most of all, being a teacher. Her patience and dedication to teaching impacted many students during her career. Her husband, John and her sons and daughters-in-law, Karl and Jany and Jeff and Elizabeth, as well as her sister, Ruth Hanas survive her. Her son Curt Baymor preceded her in death. A private service will be held at the family's convenience.
