JUDITH MARILYN JONES ELLIS, 68 PHOENIX, Ariz. - Judith Marilyn Jones Ellis, 68, of Phoenix, Ariz., the daughter of Ruth (Grogan) Morris and the late Cecil Willard Jones passed Wednesday, Jan. 10, 2007, away in her home after a long battle with cancer. Her Christian faith carried on for many years at Our Savior's Lutheran Church. Her love of church was an integral part of her life and served to influence many. She will live forever in the hearts and minds of her family. The family was blessed to have known and loved Judy for her calming influence and friendship. Judy is survived by five of her children, Robert Ellis, Michael Ellis and Christina(Ellis) Blackshear, who reside in Rockford, Ill., and Shirley (Ellis) Holm and Debbie Ellis, both of Phoenix. Judy leaves to mourn, in addition to her two sons and three daughters and her mother, brothers, Steve and Dave Morris; sisters, Vicki Haeggquist, Pat (Morris) Harding and Nancy (Morris) Christy; 10 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and a host of other family and friends. Judy is predeceased by her father; her son and three of her grandchildren. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, Jan. 15, in Best Funeral Home, 501 E. Dunlap Ave. Phoenix, with funeral to follow at 8 p.m. Burial will be at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 16, in Phoenix Memorial Park Cemetery, 200 W. Beardsley, Phoenix.
