ZELLER, Gladys

The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ Wednesday, July 14, 2010 Gladys Zeller died of natural causes on June 25. She was 91 years old. Gladys was born March 10, 1919 to Leon and Mable Rigley in Ilian, N.Y. Later the family moved to Detroit, Mich. It was there she met William Zeller who she later married on April 5, 1941. In 1952 they purchased a small farm 80 miles south west of Detroit and enjoyed farm living until they moved to Wickenburg in 1972. Gladys was a member of Rollin Baptist Church while living in Michigan and Calvary Baptist Church once they moved to Wickenburg. She was active in White Cross and Awana for many years. She followed baseball and enjoyed watching the Diamondbacks play. Gladys is survived by sons William (Karin), Richard (Eva), and Kenneth; four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents Leon and Mable, husband William, infant son Dennis, and brothers Bob and Howard Rigley. Gladys was deeply loved and will be missed by all who knew her. A memorial service will be held at Calvary Baptist Church Saturday (July 17) at 10 a.m. Arrangements are by David's Desert Chapel Funeral Home in Wickenburg.
