The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ 11/10/2006 Donald Bishop, 72, of Kearny died Nov. 3, 2006 in Snowflake. Mr. Bishop, a bulldozer operator for Kennecott Copper Corp. for many years, was born Nov. 17, 1933 in Coleman, Texas. His family moved to Coolidge when he was young. He attended school there, and after school, he enlisted in the Army. He served in the Korean conflict and was disabled while fulfilling that service. Upon returning from Korea, he began working for Kennecott and retired in 1976. He was well known for breeding and training mules. Donald is survived by his son, Don L. Bishop of Kearny, two grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. Private memorial services will be held. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Disabled American Veterans.
