Phyllis Torbet Simpson, 61, died Nov. 7, 2006 at her home in St. Johns.
She was born July 27, 1945 in Snowflake to John Henry Reidhead and Annie Despain. Phyllis was a beloved mother, wife, grandmother and friend. She will be greatly missed. She enjoyed gardening, caring for animals and was a good friend to everyone she knew.
Phyllis is survived by her husband, Bud Simpson of St. Johns; sons, Walter Torbet of Snowflake, Claude Torbet of Cordes Junction, Tommy Torbet of Snowflake, Wes Torbet of Show Low, Randy Simpson of St. Johns, Phil Simpson, Dale Simpson, Derrel Simpson, Ed Simpson, Jonathan Blackmore, Kendrick Montes, Emillio Montes; daughters, Wanda Vancil of New Mexico, Lucretia Torbet of St. Johns, Lena Paradis, Claydean Powell, Terri Salsbury; 25 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and brothers, Bill Reidhead of Heber; Gail Reidhead of Taylor; Bob Reidhead of Snowflake and Glen Reidhead of Oregon.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Thomas Torbet; granddaughter, Olita Vancil; parents; and one brother, Grant Reidhead.
A visitation was held Saturday, Nov. 11 at Silver Creek Mortuary of Taylor. Graveside services followed at the Mike Ramsey Memorial Cemetery, Snowflake.
