The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ 11/17/2006 Alex Perea, 54, died Nov. 13, 2006 at his home in Concho. He was born July 25, 1952 in St. Johns to Pedro Perea and Lenore Martinez. Alex served in the Army from June 1972 and was honorably discharged in December 1974. He is survived by his brothers, Stephen (Yolanda) Garcia, Jose (Stella) Perea, Benacio (Suzy) Perea; sisters, Mary (Louis) Starz, Angela (Pat) Murphy, and Linda Chuganey. He was preceded in death by one brother, Adolph Perea; and foster parents, Leopoldo Garcia and Barbara Garcia. A Rosary will be held Friday Nov. 17 at 7 p.m. at the San Rafael Parish in Concho. Funeral Mass will be held Saturday Nov. 18 at 10 a.m. also at the San Rafael Parish. Burnham Mortuary, St. Johns handled arrangements.
