The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ 11/17/2006 Edith Bread entered into rest, Wednesday, Nov. 8, 2006 in Payson. Her home was in Cibecue. Edith was born Dec. 19, 1926 in Cibecue. She attended the Miracle Churches and participated giving Sunday school lessons to children. She loved sewing, and enjoyed playing the harmonica, singing, picking fruits and acorns and was a wonderful cook. Edith is survived by her daughters, Marcia Gatewood, Valarie Gatewood; sons, Lyle Bushman, Alfonzo Gatewood, Keith Gatewood, Glenn Gatewood; sisters, Idella Gregg, Marina Allen, Eugenia Kirkwood; daughters-in-law, Linda Bushman, Vangie Riley Gatewood, Bertha Tessay Gatewood; 24 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, one great-great-granddaughter and many nieces and nephews. Edith was preceded in death by her husband, Lee Bread; mother, Nora Gregg Cromwell; brothers, George Gregg Sr., Wilson Gregg Sr., Warren Gregg, Lawrence Peaches Sr. and Clarence Peaches. Edith's body will be brought back to Marcia Gatewood's residence in Cibecue for a two night awake Thursday, Nov. 16 at 1 p.m. A funeral services will be Saturday, Nov. 18 at 10 a.m. at the Cibecue Miracle Church with Pastor Evalina James officiating. Interment will follow at the Sunshine Family Plot in Upper Cibecue. Silver Creek Chapel Mortuary of Whiteriver handled the arrangements.
