ALTAHA, Venelda (Nell)

The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ 11/24/2006 In precious memory of beloved sister, mom, aunt, niece and friend Venelda Altaha "Nell." Venelda entered into eternal rest Nov. 8, 2006 in Mesa. Her home was in Whiteriver. She was born Oct. 28, 1966 in McNary. She was a Adult Probation Officer for the White Mountain Apache Tribal Court. She will be dearly missed by all. Venelda is survived by her son, Aaron Altaha; sisters, Louella Shroulote, Jane Altaha, Rose Harvey, Louann Olson, Veleda Altaha; brothers, Ed Altaha, Fred Altaha Jr.; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends. Venelda's body was brought back to her residence in Whiteriver for a one-night awake Nov. 12. A Funeral Service was held Monday, Nov. 13 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Fort Apache with President Oliver Nez officiating. Interment was follow at the Mourning Dove Cemetery in Cedar Creek. Silver Creek Chapel Mortuary of Whiteriver handled the arrangements.
