Frederick Clinton "Scotty" Scott, Jr., 81, of Lakeside died Thursday, Nov. 16, 2006, at his home in his sleep. 
     
Scotty was born in Texas July 28, 1925. He was known by many as a gifted Saxophone player who brought joy to those who heard and watched him play. He fought many battles with his health for at least 40 years, one of which was his heart. 
      
Scotty is survived by three daughters, Jerri Phillips, La'Dell Burks, and Carla Scott; two sons, Frederick Scott III and John Scott; three grandchildren, Melanie Patterson, Russ A. Phillips, and Tad Willis; and three great-grandchildren, Austin Patterson, Linden Patterson and Tabitha Phillips. 
      
A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 2, at Black's Mortuary Chapel in Show Low.
