Arizona Daily Sun, Flagstaff, Arizona Friday, July 16, 2010 Kary Shafer, of Flagstaff, died July 13, 2010, at Flagstaff Medical Center. Ms. Shafer was a personal coach on developing healthy money habits, a keynote speaker and a workshop leader. She had also been a volunteer for hospice earlier in her life. She was a graduate of Arapahoe High School in Littleton, Colo., and the Colorado School of Mines in Golden, Colo. She was a free spirit who enjoyed nature and the outdoors. She brought a bit of sunshine to everyone she knew. Ms. Shafer is survived by her mother, Luanne Shafer (Diane Drab) of Denver, Colo.; father Donald Shafer (Carol) of Richland, Wash.; sister Kati Hynes of Charlotte, N.C.; and companion Al Sottosanti.
