Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, Arizona Published Wednesday, October 15, 2008 Donna Pent, 66, passed away in her sleep early Monday morning, Oct. 13, 2008. She was born April 20, 1942, in Toronto, Canada to Mike and Eleanor Dorsey. Her parents relocated to Daytona Beach, Fla., when Donna was 12. While in high school, she met Steve, her husband of 45 years. They moved to Orange County, Calif., in 1987. After a 25-year career as a claims adjuster for Met Life she retired and in October 2000. They chose to make Lake Havasu City their home. Donna enjoyed deep-sea fishing, reading and she loved animals. She and Steve especially had fun times visiting with friends at the Elks lodge and American Legion. It is therefore fitting that the next time we gather we raise our glasses in a toast to Donna. We will miss her warmth and laughter. We will miss our good friend. Donna is survived by her loving husband, Steve, of Lake Havasu City; daughter, Molly (Kevin) Rottner, of North Hollywood, Calif., and nieces Ellie and Felicity North, of Anaheim Hills, Calif.. Visitation will be at Lietz-Fraze chapel Friday from 5-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that a donation be made in Donna’s name to the Western Arizona Humane Society, 1100 Empire Dr., Lake Havasu City, AZ, 86404 Condolences and thoughts can be made to her family at www.lietz-frazefuneralhome.com.
