James Patrick Lovato, known to some as Pat, and others as Pat-Rat or Coach, passed away peacefully in his sleep, in the early morning Tuesday, Oct. 8, 2008. He was born June 5, 1964, in Raton, N.M., to Baltazar Lovato and Jane (Armijo) Lovato.

Pat lived in New Mexico, Montana and Arizona and most recently moved to Lake Havasu City from West Glacier, Mont., in 2002.

Pat leaves many friends and family members behind, who miss him greatly. He has touched many lives throughout his own, and will be missed by each of the people who have met him. Pat spent the majority of his time volunteering at the local Senior Center with Wednesday crew, and any and every local wrestling program. He loved the outdoors, where he spent the rest of his time hunting, fishing, and camping.

Pat is survived by his loving wife, Bernadette, daughter, Valerie Lovato, of Lake Havasu City; son, James Lovato Jr. and girlfriend, Claire, of Lake Havasu City; dogs, Sammy, Rascal and Jack; his father, his mother, and his seven siblings.

A memorial service will be held at Havasu Christian Church, 341 Mulberry, Saturday at 3 p.m. Words of wisdom and inspiration will be expressed by Pastor John Walton.

In lieu of flowers and remembrances the family wishes for donations to be made at Compass Bank, Acct. No. 2506817474. The Pat Lovato Memorial Fund will be used to establish a scholarship in his memory.
