George P. Winn went home to be with the Lord Dec. 9, 2006 in Pinetop.
      
He was born Nov. 2, 1927 in New Hampshire and moved to Southern Calif in 1952 and then to Arizona in 1972. He was a truck driver and also drove a school bus for Blue Ridge schools. He enjoyed NASCAR and wrestling, but the loves of his life were his wife and family.
      
He is survived by his beloved wife of 54 years, Carol A. Winn; three daughters, Carolee Hawkins of Pinetop, Pam Burtness of Lakeside, and Candy Kendrick of Show Low; son, Gary Winn of Goodyear; 13 grandchilden and 12 great-grandchildren.
      
There will be a celebration of his life at the home of Butch and Pam Burtness, 1021 W. Navajo Lane in Lakeside, Sunday, Dec. 17 from 12-3 p.m.
