TRAVIS, Euna June

The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ 12/19/2006 Euna June "Downs" Travis joined her heavenly father Dec. 13, 2006. Euna was born July 8, 1926, to Joseph and Emma Downs. While in Pennsylvania, Euna worked faithfully at the Montrose Dept. Store for many years. A couple of those years were spent running the New Milford branch. She was also an Avon representative. She and her husband, Jack, opened their home to many foster children before selling the farm and moving to Arizona. Over the last 20 some years, Euna has tirelessly used her sewing talent to reach out to ministries in her church and the Navapache Regional Medical Center in Show Low. Her family will miss her dearly and look forward to joining her again some day. She departed from home leaving her husband, Jack Duane Travis, Sr. behind. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Jack Downs and Francis Downs; oldest son, Jack Duane Travis, Jr.; and grandson, Dustin Alan Vedo. Her remaining children are Terry Jo and Marty Johnson of Hallstead, Pa., Judy Jane and Paul Vedo of Flagstaff, Timothy Wade and Francis Travis of Part Low, Va., Jeff Alan Travis of Brackney, Pa., Amy Jean and Ken Burke of Lakeside, Brenda Lee and Chris Crimson of Lake Havasu City. Also mourning her loss are her brothers and sisters, Dorothy and James Cromwell of Binghamton, N.Y., James and Marjorie Downs of Vestal, N.Y., Norma Tagliaferro of Endwell, N.Y., Karen and Matthew Murphy of Columbia, S.C., Britt and Marilyn Downs of Lexington, Maine. She leaves a legacy of 19 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. A memorial will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Euna's memory to First Baptist Church, 700 N.
