Thomas William “Bill” McKendrick, 75, passed away Sunday, Oct. 12, 2008, in Lake Havasu City. He was born June 12, 1933, to Thomas and Margaret (Carls) McKendrick in Pomona, Calif.
Bill served under the direction of the United States Air Force during the Korean conflict. He married his beloved bride, Joan Laird, 55 years ago and together they moved to Arizona 17 years ago from Montclair, Calif., making Lake Havasu their home seven years ago. He worked for I.B.E.W. Local 11 as an electrician in Los Angeles, Calif., for 40 years. Bill was a member of the Elks in Bullhead City and Lake Havasu City, American Legion and Lamb of God Lutheran Church in Lake Havasu.
Bill is survived by his loving wife, Joan McKendrick, of Lake Havasu City; son, Dave (Leslie) McKendrick, of Alta Loma, Calif.; daughter, Jill (Kevin) Ward of Lake Havasu City; grandchildren, Jason (Brianna) Ward, of Maricopa, Jennifer (Luke) McKendrick, of Alta Loma, Kari (Chance) Ward, of Lake Havasu City, and Tom (Amber) McKendrick, of Alta Loma; and great grandchildren, Alexis and Jayden of Alta Loma.
