Mesa -- Services for Mrs. Lillian H. Cavanagh, 74, who died Saturday (10/12/1968) in Scottsdale Baptist Hospital, will be at 10 a.m. today in Gibbons Mortuary, 33 N. Sirrine. Burial will be in Mesa Cemetery. Mrs. Cavanagh, 260 W. Second St., arrived in Arizona in 1924 from New York. After living in Roosevelt, she settled in Apache Junction, where she and late husband, William T. Cavanagh, operated a service station, restaurant and grocery store until 1946 when she moved to Mesa. Until she retired in 1959, Mrs. Cavanagh had been employed as a bakery clerk by Wright's and El Rancho markets. She was a member of St. Mark's Episcopal Church and guild. She was born in Glasgow, Scotland. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Russell Brownd of Tempe, Mrs. Richard Lesiak of Scottsdale; and two grandchildren. The family suggests contributions to St. Mark's Episcopal Church, 322 N. Horne. The Arizona Republic Tuesday, October 15, 1968.
