Samuel Sampson
Scottsdale -- Samuel Sampson Cook, 79, who had retired 12 years ago from the Curtis Co. in his native Clinton, Iowa, and moved here in 1958, died yesterday (10/14/1968) in St. Joseph's Hospital, Phoenix.
Mr. Cook, 7713 E. Chaparral, had been a member of the Curtis board of directors in 1956, a Masonic lodge and the Consistory, all in Clinton, and the Valley Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include his wife, Julia; two sons, Ward of Indianapolis, Dr. Douglas W. Cook of Evanston, Illinois, a daughter, Mrs. Robert W. Manly of Wilmette, Ill., a sister out of state; and 10 grandchildren.
There will be private cremation, Messinger Mortuary announced.
