Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, Arizona March 28, 1985, page 22 Mildred C. Smith Thomas, 79, of McCammon, Idaho, died March 15 in Pocatello Regional Medical Center following an illness. She was born Dec. 26, 1905 at Terre Haute, Ind., the daughter of Joseph and Ellen McNary Smith. When she was eight years old the family moved to Monrovia, Calif., where she completed her schooling. She moved to the St. Anthony area in 1924. On Oct. 31, 1934 she married Orson Glenn Thomas at Mt. Home and this marriage was solemnized in the Arizona Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Temple on Dec. 15, 1983. From 1938 until 1953 they made their home in Pocatello, Idaho and from 1953 until 1964 in Inkom. In 1964 they moved to Wickenburg, returning to McCammon in July of 1984. Her husband died Oct. 9, 1984. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and had served in the relief society. Her hobbies were fishing, flowers and crocheting. Survivors include four sons, Tom and Gene, both of Pocatello and Glenn, of Moscow, Idaho; a brother Harvey Smith, of Paradise Valley; two sisters, Ruth Windle, Baldwin Park, Calif. and Betty Lotz, of Duante, Calif.; 19 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her parents, a son, three brothers, two sisters and a granddaughter. Funeral services were conducted marach19 at 1 p.m. at the McCammon LDS Stake Center with Bishop Bert W. Marley, of the McCammon LDs Second Ward officiating. The family received friends March 18 from 7 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. at Manning Funeral Chapel in Pocatello.
