FRIECE, David Allen

Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, Arizona April 11, 1985, page 21 David Allen Friece, 37, of Phoenix, died April 1 in a Phoenix hospital during heart bypass surgery. He was born on May 11, 1947 in Circleville, Ohio and came to Wickenburg in Aug of 1952 with his parents. He attended elementary and high school in Wickenburg, graduating in 1965 and earning varsity letters in four different sports. He and his wife, Barbara Ann Hummelgard, met in grade school and married after they both graduated from Wickenburg High School. Friece served six years in the U.S. Navy and graduated from Arizona State University in Tempe. At the time of his death, he was employed as an engineer with Syntex Ophthalmics, Inc. He and his wife formerly lived in Wickenburg for several years where he managed the Mountain Bell office. Survivors include his wife, Barbara Ann Friece; one daughter, Nicole and his parents, Evelyn and Bob Friece, of Wickenburg. Private arrangements were made by Brown’s Colonial Mortuary in Phoenix. Private memorial services were also conducted in Phoenix.
