Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, Arizona August 22, 1985, page 18 Leola Francis Platt, 65, of Chino Valley, died Aug. 9 in the Yavapai County Regional Medical Center. She was born April 13, 1920 in Fort Dodge, Iowa and was a resident of Arizona for the past 21 years. She was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church, in Chino Valley; The Over the Hill Bunch; Take Off Pounds Safely and the American Legion Auxiliary, of Chino Valley Survivors include two sons, John Joe Plat, of Round Mt., Nev. And William Chris Platt of Chino Valley; five daughters, Clara L.M. Murray, of San Antonio, Texas, Iona J. Robinson, of Chino Valley, Jimmie Jean Allen, of Bagdad, Gayle Lynn Stocks, of Bagdad, Gayle Lynn Stocks, of Moab, Utah and April M. Galloway, of Cotton wood; 24 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; three brother, Dwayne Lewis, of Beeville, Texas, Roy A. Lewis, of Chino Valley and Ceciel P. Lewis, of Fort Dodge and one sister, June Luckenbill, of Amarillo, Texas. Visitation was Aug. 13 from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. at the First Southern Baptist Church, in Chino Valley. Services were Aug. 13 at 10 a.m. with Pastor Jerry Kinman officiating. Interment was in the Chino Valley Community Cemetery. Arrangements were made through the Hampton Funeral Home, in Prescott.
