Adams, 87, of Wickenburg and San Juan Capistrano, Calif., died July 15 in Clovis, N.M. while visiting Shauna Thomas, her great-niece. She was born Nov. 29, 1898 in Parkston, S.D., the tenth of 12 children. She was a school principal and teacher in Gilman, Colo. For over 25 years. In 1955, she moved to San Juan Capistrano and taught fourth grade there for many years. She moved to Wickenburg in 1975, back to San Juan Capistrano and back to Wickenburg in 1983. She was a member of the Eastern Star and many community club activities. Survivors include one sister, Aletha K. Burgess and one niece, Shauna Thomas, of New Mexico and Staci Sorden, of Wickenburg and one great-nephew, Steve Sorden, of Berlin, Germany. Interment will be next to her husband, Thomas J. Adams, in Glenwood Springs, Colo.
