Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, Arizona September 12, 1985, page 17 John E. Aten, 74, of Congress, died Sept. 8 in Sun City. He was born Jan.2, 1911, in Alden, Kan. and moved to Arizona in 1956 from Texas. Aten spent his entire life as a truck driver and heavy equipment mechanic. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ina, five day earlier. Survivors include one brother, Joe Aten, of Springdale, Ark.; three sisters, Twila Parks, of Brea, Calif., Clarabell Mathes, of Sterling, Kan. and Rena Miller, of Willow Springs, Mo. and four children. A private cremation was conducted for him. Memorial services will be Sept. 14 at 1p.m. at the Congress Baptist Church with Pastor Mike Coman officiating.
