The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ January 9, 1986, p. 8 Laythn C. Morris, 68, of Wickenburg, died Dec. 26 at the Wickenburg Community Hospital. He was born July 29, 1917 in Arvada, Colo., and had lived in Wickenburg the past year. Morris was a graduate of Arvada High School in Arvada, Colo.; a member of Arvada lodge 141 AM and FM, Friendship Chapter OES 137; a charter member of Jefferson County Soil Conservation in Arvada, Colo.; Past president of the Arvada Lions Club; member of IOOF and founded and headed the L. C. Morris Construction Company in Arvada until his retirement in 1975. Survivors include his wife, Betty; two sons; five daughters; two brothers; six sisters and numerous nieces and nephews. He had 19 children. Private cremation was requested with memorial services Arvada, Colo. The family requested that contributions be made to the Crippled Children’s Hospital, Wickenburg Shrine Club, Box 474, Wickenburg, in lieu of flowers. Arrangements were made through the Wickenburg Funeral Home.
