Ernest Shannon Cole, 73, of Wickenburg and Peeples Valley, died at his home in Peeples Valley on Jan. 29. He was born April 4, 1912 in Louisa, Ky., and was an Arizona resident for eight years.
Before moving to Arizona, Cole was a government employee at Selby Air Force Base in Ohio. He owned a janitorial service in Wickenburg for the past seven years. He was also a member of The Church of God of Prophecy, in Wickenburg.
Survivors include his wife, Fleeda Cole, of Peeples Valley; six sons, Bobby Gene Cole, of Mansfield, Ohio, Ernest Adrian Cole, of Plymouth, Ohio, Lloyd Morrow Cole, of Round Lake, Ill., William Gerand Cole, of Cleveland, Tenn., Shannon Ray Cole and Michael Lee Cole, both of Fairborn, Ohio, four daughters, Purmelia Maxine Gibson, Pearly Margene Ogle and Hazel Rahsetta Johnson, all of Mansfield and Freida Anne Stevenson of Wickenburg; 31 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren and three sisters.
Visitation was Feb. 2 at the McQuate-Secor Funeral Home in Plymouth. Services were Feb. 3 at the McQuate-Secor Funeral Home with Pastor John Bagwell, of Phoenix and Wickenburg officiating. Interment was in the Maple Grove Cemetery, in New Haven, Ohio.
Arrangements were made through the Wickenburg Funeral Home.
