Abramovich, Frank
Frank Abramovich passed away on December 29, 2003. He was born on April 7, 1912 in Cokedale, CO to parents Ivan and Lucia. Frank spent his youth growing up in Croatia, and came back to the United States in 1927. He worked for 45 years at Wisconsin Steel Works in South Chicago. Frank lived in South Chicago, Lansing, IL, Hot Springs, AR, and most recently Peoria, AZ.
He was preceded in death by his wife Margaret (nee Niksic), brother Roy (aka Roko), and son John. Frank is survived by his half brother Joseph (Tonka) Dosen of British Columbia, Canada; son Paul of Cottonwood, AZ; 6 grand-children Susan Abramovich of Woodstock, GA; Sandy (Yoram) Ben-Hanania of Alpharetta, GA; Sharon (Brian) McCauley of Port Richey, FL; Karen (J.R.) Gaddy of Chandler, AZ; Michael (Pam) Abramovich of Goodyear, AZ; Paula (Dan) Tanis of St. John, Indiana; 11 great grandchildren; daughters in law Shirley and Janet; and many friends at the Casa Del Rio Retirement Apartments.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 1, 2004 from 11:00 am until 12 Noon followed by a memorial service at noon at Heritage Funeral Chapel, 6830 W. Thunderbird Rd., Peoria, AZ 85381, 623-974-3671. A second memorial service will be held at Schroeder-Lauer Funeral Home 3227 Ridge Rd., Lansing, IL 60438 708-474-0024 on Saturday, January 3, 2003.
In lieu of flowers remembrances in Frank's name may be given to Plaza Del Rio Foundation Scholarship Fund c/o Casa Del Rio Retirement Apartments 12754 Plaza Del Rio Blvd., Peoria, AZ 85381.
