The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ March 27, 1986, p. 10 Jere A. Alford died at his home in Yarnell March 16 at the age of 67. He was born in Idaho, Aug 17, 1918 and had moved to Arizona in 1977. He lived in Yarnell for the past six years. Alford was a veteran pf the U. S. Army Air Force serving 22 years. He had worked in wood products in Pierce, Idaho, retiring in 1977 and served as president of a small mining association in Congress. He was a member of the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign wars in Yarnell and Pierce, Idaho and was also a Lions Club member in Pierce. Alford is survived by his wife, Jo Ann, of Pierce, Idaho; three daughters, Roxann Cramer and Sherry Alford, of Pierce, Idaho and Michele Carricker, of Idaho; three sons, Norman and Phillip of Moreland, Idaho and Rory, of Pierce, Idaho and seven grandchildren. Luke Air Force Base Burial Team performed full military graveside rites at 11:30 a.m. on March 22 at Genung Memorial park in Peeples Valley. The Hampton Funeral Home of Prescott made arrangements.
