James Gorman Calloway, 80, of Wickenburg, died March 15. He was born in Woodward County, Indiana territory, on Aug. 13, 1905.
On Aug. 22, 1931, he married Naomi Laverne Hutchison in Alva. They farmed and ranched in the Quinlan area, later moving to South Dakota and then to Arizona.
He was a member of the Methodist Church and the Mooreland Masonic Lodge.
Survivors include his wife, Naomi; a son, Jimmie Darrel, of Katy, Texas; three daughters, Mary Lynn Hula, of Medford, Okla., Naomi Kay Boe, of Pierre, S. D. and Yvetta Lee Iversen, of Wickenburg; two brothers, Fred, of Cherokee, Okla. And Arnold, of Round Rock, Texas; five sisters, Nellie Calloway, of Alva, Okla.; Mary Dillingham, of Waynoka, Okla.; Caroline Harrison, of Enid, Okla.; Minnie Grover, of Whitefish, Mont. and Enid Reynolds, Oklahoma City; 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Services were at the United Methodist Church in Waynoka, Okla., with the Rev. James E. Sanders officiating. Interment was in Waynoka Cemetery; Masonic services were conducted by the Waynoka Masonic Lodge.
