The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ April 10, 1986, p. 7 Katherine “Kitty” Neeb McCrady, 92, of Phoenix, died April 3 of natural causes at her home in Phoenix. She was born in Lancaster, Ohio on July 29, 1893 and lived in Arizona for 51 years. McCrady came to Wickenburg from Pittsburgh, Pa., in 1935 as a guest at Remuda Ranch and remained at the ranch in her own bungalow until 1949 when she moved to the Westward Ho Apartments in Phoenix. While living in Wickenburg, she contributed generously to Wickenburg Community, Hospital, Desert Caballeros Western Museum, the Wickenburg Library, the Wickenburg Volunteer Fire Department and the Wickenburg Chamber of Commerce. She was fondly known as “Granny” by her many friends and was made an honorary member of the Wickenburg Volunteer Fire Department. She was one of the original founders of the Maricopa County Historical Society-Desert Caballeros Western Museum and served on their original board as well as the hospital and library boards as well as the hospital and library boards. She is survived by one daughter, Kitty Lou Connery, of La Mesa, Calif.; one grandson, William Connery; of La Mesa, Calif., and two great grandchildren. There will be a private burial attended to by the Wickenburg Fire Department in the Wickenburg Cemetery. The family requests memorials be donated to the Desert Caballeros Western Museum. Arrangements were made with the Wickenburg Funeral Home.
